What Is PT Mentor Workshop?

This is a once a week 60 minute practical and theory based lessons over a 12 week timeframe to build on your skills from Cerftificate 3 & 4 to turn you into the best trainer you can be. Just like Marlena who recently worked with me.

About PT Mentor Workshop

Q: How does PT Mentor Workshop work?


A: This is a 12-week coaching program. Each week we will meet as group.  

In our first meeting we will discuss planning, what your biggest fears are in getting started as a PT and what you hope to get out of this course.
I will then personally design your Mentor Business, Exercise & Nutrition program based on your goals, which you will follow at your gym, at home or with your personal trainer (we can assign you a personal trainer if you do not already have one).  

Each of the remaining weeks we will meet for instruction and education in the small group. Your business skills nutrition and exercise regimen will be closely monitored. We will hold you accountable to it - this is how radical and rapid results are produced.

If you encounter obstacles, we will show you how to overcome them. We work together as a team for 12 solid weeks, every week you move closer to your goal. Transformation is guaranteed with this high level of accountability and precise, personalized programming.

At the end of 12 weeks if we are satisfied you have grasped all of the concepts we have shown you and feel you will fit our team, there is a chance you could be chosen to take up our apprentice trainer position.

Q: Who exactly is PT Mentor Workshop Program for?

A: Any new PT just starting out or any Persnal Trainer who wants to learn all of the trade secrets to have a successful career in Health & Fitness industry.

Q: How is this different than your personal training services?

A: PT Mentor program is a comprehensive program designed specifically to help personal trainers become better skilled and knowledgeable in the areas that prevent a new trainer from getting work or getting results with their clients.

Q: What kind of results can I expect in 12 weeks?

A: This will be based on your specific goals.  We will spend a considerable amount of time in your first meeting determining exactly how aggressive you want to be, and then I will create your program accordingly.  With your commitment and our coaching, instruction and accountability, you can expect substantial, dramatic, transformational results.

Q: When will these classes start and what times are you going to run them?


A: Workshop starts w/c September 23rd. At this stage we have not set an exact day or time but we look like running this on a weeknight at 630pm or 7pm. Most likely it will be either a Tuesday or Monday night. However we wll evaluate once we have all the registrations in as to what will be the best time.

Q: How much does the PT Mentor Workshop cost?

A: Cost is $499 to register. Or you can make 2 separate payments of $299. Over the 12-week period, that's less than the cost of a decent lunch ($5.95) each day to get the knowledge and confidence to be a great Personal Trainer.


Q: Why are you only accepting just 8 people into the PT Mentor Workshop?

A: Group dynamics are very important to the success of this program  Too many participants dilute that dynamic. Additionally, we need to insure that each person gets all the time and attention they need.  We can't do that with a group that is too large.

has been said (and anecdotally proven over and over again) that our self confidence is directly proportional to our quality of experience (and our experiences make up our lives).

  1. How to find and keep clients: By far the biggest problem facing a PT is how to get started. You might have some great programs, exercise and nutrition resources, but if you dont have any clients to train with it is worthless!
  2. Competition: Other trainers are unlikely to help you as you are their competitor! I worked in a large gym with over 20 trainers and know exactly what this is like.
  3. Lack of knowledge If you work in a small studio there is nowhere to hide so if you are not up to sratch with the other trainers, no client will want to train with you!
  4. Working with injured clients. This is a big area that may PT's are not prepared for. Clients are more overweight, stressed out, sedentary than ever before, meaning chance of injury is very high. Clients expectations are very high, they want results and if they dont get it they wont stay with you. So you must know how to train clients with injury to be successful.
